Phyllis,

Ann passed away due to Lung cancer which had also spread to her brain.  Andre Bosco Bingham was able to confirm this as her sister has stayed in touch with Ann's family.

Every passing is a loss. It was sad to learn that Ann was gone from this life. I didn't know either Ann, or her sister Meg, well ... or even very much at all. If I recall correctly, I had 9th grade Geometry class with both sisters, maybe? In the hope in the Resurrection to Life.

I've added below the words of the Umited States Navy's prayer for burial at sea of sailors who have died in battle or have been killed by accident, etc. Not that it applies specifically to Ann's passing, the hearing and the reading of these words always brings comfort and a sense of peace to me.

"We therefore commit the earthly remains of [Full Name] to the deep, looking for the general Resurrection in the last day, and the life of the world to come, through our Lord Jesus Christ; at whose second coming in glorious majesty to judge the world, the sea shall give up her dead; and the corruptible bodies of those who sleep in him shall be changed, and made like unto his glorious body; according to the mighty working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself. Amen."
