Remembering Gary Millen

Many things come to mind, when reminicsing  our Senior Class President Gary Millen; leader, student/athlete, teammate and friend just to mention a few.  Gary touched and impacted many classmates as well as others beyond LHS.  If not for Gary's untimely passing from a heart attack in May, 2006, we know he would have been very excited about and be a key contributor to our 50+2 Reunion planning. 

It's challenging to go through our 1970 Yearbook without seeing Gary's impact on both our class and LHS. We wanted to recognize and remember Gary "Buckets" Millen by highlighting some of his LHS accomplishments;

Beyond LHS, Gary continued to add to his list of achievements. Upon graduation from Colby College in 1974, Gary was presented the Donald P. Lake Award. This award is given annually to a senior male student/athlete who has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, leadership, and academic accomplishment.
