Diane M. DePari Obituary
Diane M. DePari, 74, of Peabody, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph DePari with whom she shared 15 years of marriage until his passing in 1999 and predeceased by her longtime loving companion Ralph Santosuosso until his passing in 2022.
She was born in Boston on June 23, 1951 and was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Griffin) Joyce.
Diane will be remembered for her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She spent many years as a hairdresser, loved fashion and shopping, and had a special gift for connecting people. A true animal lover, Diane adored her dogs and enjoyed horseback riding. She was always putting the needs of others—both people and animals—ahead of her own.
Some of Diane's happiest moments were spent with her son. Whether they were going to the movies, roller skating, or just spending time together, they were always a duo. She also loved gathering with family and friends for dinners out, enjoying lobster rolls, and traveling. Diane's kindness, generosity, and love for those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Diane is survived by her son, David R. DePari of Peabody; her two brothers, Joseph A. Joyce Jr. and his wife Zineda of Houston, TX and Paul G. Joyce of Effingham, NH; her sister, Pam Laham and her husband Ray of Stoneham; her nieces, Jennifer Miller and her husband Andrew, Heather Laham and Megan Laham; her great nieces, Vivian and Vera Miller; and many loving cousins and friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 2PM to 5PM and again at 9:15AM Monday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield for a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s memory to the MSPCA by visiting www.mspca.org.

Some passings hit harder than others, and Diane's passing has stunned me. Diane and I were close friends for many years during JR High and High School and that continued for many years after that.. Diane had an uncanny sense of fashion and was always ahead of her time. I always thought she'd become a clothing designer - but becoming a hair dresser was a better fit since it allowed her to interact directly with people as she practiced her craft. I followed her to many different hair salons. Remember when Filene's had a salon on the 2nd floor?
Diane and I had so much fun. She was always smiling and had ideas about fun things to do. I followed many of her leads - but dancing on roller skates was out of my league. She was AWESOME at that and came alive sailing across the skating rink. Where ever Diane went, she brightened the room.
Diane loved deeply. Ralph was such a big part of her life but the happiest moment was the birth of her son. And that heart of hers was big enough to take in more people over the years.
Diane was a GEM. Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will me missed.
